Significant 5.3 quake hits near Camana, Provincia de Camaná, Arequipa, Peru

5.3 quake 5 Mar 2:25 pm (GMT -5)
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake which listed the quake at magnitude 5.3 as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should have been widely felt by almost everyone in the area of the epicenter. It might have caused light to moderate damage.
Moderate shaking probably occurred in Atico (pop. 200) located 8 km from the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Camana (pop. 16,400) located 104 km from the epicenter.
