Significant 5.0 quake hits near Pizarro, Bajo Baudó, Departamento del Choco, Colombia

Just 25 minutes ago, a 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Pizarro, Bajo Baudó, Departamento del Choco, Colombia. The tremor was recorded early afternoon on Friday, March 10th, 2023, at 3:47 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 12.4 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS), which listed it as a magnitude 5.0 earthquake as well. Other agencies reporting the same quake include the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake at magnitude 5.0, and the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) at magnitude 4.8.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.

Weak shaking might have been felt in Pizarro (pop. 6,200) located 108 km from the epicenter.
