Magnitude 5.2 earthquake strikes near Tinogasta, Departamento de Tinogasta, Catamarca, Argentina

The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 5.2 quake in Argentina near Tinogasta, Departamento de Tinogasta, Catamarca, only 24 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early evening on Monday, March 13th, 2023, at 7:50 pm local time at an intermediate depth of 136.7 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS), which listed it as a magnitude 5.2 earthquake as well.
