A massive magnitude 7.6 earthquake has hit western mainland Costa Rica at about 100 km west of the capital San José.
A tsunami warning has been issued and was later removed.
So far, there are no reports of fatalities, but there are people injured and some damage in the epicenter area.

Ticuantepe (Nicaragua, 224 km NW of epicenter) : It was pretty long! I felt it lasted forever cuz I was in bed and stayed in there for some seconds to verify it was a shake. I then went to the kitchen and warned my sister. The water fountain was shaking and the lamps were moving from side to side. I wen (reported through EMSC)  
Diriamba (Nicaragua, 209 km NW of epicenter) : I was practicing yoga and was aligning my spine when the Earth's adjustment took place. (reported through EMSC)  
Uruca District (Costa Rica, 144 km E of epicenter) : It was felt for about a minute. MAny people run downstairs, some objets fall down, the building structure made cracking sounds. (reported through EMSC)  
Alajuela (Costa Rica, 129 km E of epicenter) : it seemed to have lasted about 60 seconds....it was very gentle when it started....and built to a serious shaking by the time it was over....pretty scary stuff!! (reported through EMSC)  
Santa Rosa (Costa Rica, 113 km E of epicenter) : it started out trembling and then began swaying. it lasted over a minute. A motorcycle in the parking lot at my work fell over and the rainforest trees were swaying. The cars in the parking lot were bouncing all around and every single employee from indoo (reported through EMSC)  
Monteverde (Costa Rica, 66 km E of epicenter) : location i felt theaerthuake was in the mountains in santa lucia near monteverde (reported through EMSC)
