M7.6 earthquake - 10km NE of Hojancha, Costa Rica, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 at 14:42 (GMT)
Update Wed 05 Sep 16:07A massive magnitude 7.6 earthquake has hit western mainland Costa Rica at about 100 km west of the capital San José.
A tsunami warning has been issued and was later removed.
So far, there are no reports of fatalities, but there are people injured and some damage in the epicenter area.
