Nara City, Nakatomigaoka / MMI V (Moderate shaking): I was asleep but awoke to rumbling sound, followed by creaking of the building.
Kobe / MMI V (Moderate shaking)
Kobe / MMI V (Moderate shaking): I woke up and could feel de building shaking to the sides. Maybe 19 seconds.
Osaka Kansai / MMI IV (Light shaking): My first recognized earthquake. Strange feeling on the 23rd floor. Initially did not know what is happening. No way to get out fast. So I just stayed in the room. Long after shaking of the building.
Kyoto / MMI III (Weak shaking): Vibration recognized in a bottle of water, duration ca. 10 secs
Toyota / MMI VII (Very strong shaking)
Osaka / MMI IV (Light shaking): It wakes me up in the morning.
nara / not felt: Building noticeably moved - maybe several seconds - awakened by shaking - no one seemed particularly alarmed.
Surigao City / MMI IV (Light shaking): almost 5am...we experienced ground shaking in a few seconds.
