Tagbilaran City, Bohol (29.5 km SW of epicenter) [Map] / Very strong shaking (MMI VII) : I was in our office having our endorsement for the next shift when suddenly our room starts to shake. It was my first time to experience such earthquake. Our team leader said \"Open the door & hide on the tables!\" When the shakes weakened, we went out of the office & contacted our families. Our neighboring residence were still in their houses and we screamed \"Get out right now!\" My mom fetched me with the car and we get out. People were shouting \"TUBIG!\" Fearing that tsunami will come next.
Mandaue City, Cebu (51.9 km NNW of epicenter) [Map] / Moderate shaking (MMI V) : Seemed to last longer than it actually did. Moderate shaking, made the folded clothes in our wardrobe fall out when the door was opened later and it spilled my coffee. No apparent structural damage to our house (no new cracks, etc.) No damage to dishes, cupboard contents, hanging pictures.
Cebu City / Very strong shaking (MMI VII) : I was about to eat when I suddenly heard the crumbling sound and felt the vibration.

Not just shake but really sway as our things began to fall one by one and simply standing up proved to be much of a challenge. Everyone outside began to scream their hearts out as they noticed it was no ordinary quake. To think that all that anarchy only lasted 30 to 40 seconds felt like a very long time of sheer terror
