I was sitting looking at a spreadsheet on a laptop and felt a sudden sideways motion to the left, then a slow right to left moving sensation, my room ceiling light was swinging about 15cm and I have some cables hanging over a door which were also moving. Not felt one that strong before here even tho we have them regular from the Vrancea part of Romania often. .

Kartal istanbul / Light shaking (MMI IV) : I was at the 8th floor. It shakes approximately 15-20sec. Neighbours in the lower floors didnot feel. The intensity of the Shake could not wake up my child who was sleeping.

Will it get stronger? Will the table protect me if the ceeling comes down?" Cats in the house were alerted but not paniced. Then shaking had stopped. But I was filled with adrenaline, grabed my bag and cellphone, though of going out of the house but didn't because if another and stronger shake comes the stairs might collapse.
