nelson, new zealand / MMI V (Moderate shaking): The start was very light but it continued and got strong enough for windows rattling and for us to move to a safe location. Long lasting.

Wellington / MMI III (Weak shaking)
New plymouth / MMI IV (Light shaking)
Brightwater (New Zealand) (96 km NW from epicenter)(no details): Yes, as the house is built on a solid concrete foundation, i noticed the structure bolt in its movement and loud movement, with high floor to ceiling windows it felt as the house was moving or structure in two different directions untill settled, hencing cracks in the solid flooring foundation. if the earthquake was centre at a depth of 10k i believe this house would fold like a pack of cards, merely on the foundation. (via EMSC)
Todds Valley (New Zealand) (113 km N from epicenter)(no details): There was 2 different phases. A slight shaking then a swaying movement (via EMSC)
Picton (New Zealand) (119 km NE from epicenter)(no details): De bewoners van picton zeiden dat dit een hevige aardbeving was en dat dit al een tijd niet meer was voorgekomen. (via EMSC)
Ruby Bay (New Zealand) (112 km NW from epicenter)(no details): It was first one for me when I was by my own and could that observe well. I have actually enjoy it, even it sounds strange. (via EMSC)
