shake map
(shakemap: USGS)
"I felt it" reports:
Nuku'alofa / MMI V (Moderate shaking)
Nuku'alofa (Tonga) (28 km E from epicenter)(no details): Nothing much, just saw the walls (well, the house in general) shaking for a while (a loooong while when you're in that mini-shock state of mind). Scary, but otherwise ok, since everyone else is fine. Nothing will ever compare to the 2006 one though. Just hoping the rest of the neighborhood and family are ok, and there won't be a tsunami pleeeeeaaase (via EMSC)
Nuku'alofa (Tonga) (52 km NE from epicenter)(no details): bit of a shock. woke me up from sleep. seemed strong with big rocking motion. (via EMSC)
Nuku'alofa (Tonga) (52 km NE from epicenter)(no details): We are currently have cyclone warning and the wind and raining is very strong and heavy (via EMSC)
Earthquakes in same area up to 1 year afterwards (likely aftershocks)
