I am in Spokane, WA (USA) / Weak shaking (MMI III) : Two of the 5 people who live in our 5 story brick building felt the earthquake in Mexico. One of us was in the basement, and the other was on the first floor. Both of us felt and slightly "heard" the quake and were looking around to see if anything was visibly moving. In the basement location there wasn't anything to register movement in the room (nothing hanging from the ceiling, etc.) but on the 1st floor the person felt vibration in the wood doors and jambs. Luego la intensidad se incremento subitamente y comenzó a sentirse un crujir de la estructura de la casa y las ventanas y muebles retumbaban y se movian de manera violenta, la frecuencia del movimiento ya no era de un balanceo sino mas bien una vibracion constante similar a cuando un taladro perfora o cuando una maquinaria pesada como una grua, un tanque o un transporte con oruga metalica como medio de locomocion, pasara muy cerca de un edificio. Esta fase duro un poco mas de 30 segundos. Finalmente empezo a perder intensidad la vibracion, aunque no su frecuencia y finalmente se detuvo muy rapido como en 5 segundos o menos.
