Brockman / Moderate shaking (MMI V) : Sitting on my lounge chair when it started shaking. Then I sat up and placed my feet on the floor. That's when I felt the intensity of it. The ground was moving back & forth. The power beneath my feet was incredible. Roof rattling, house shaking, animals freaking out. Very loud like a jet flying low over the house. I knew, straight away that it was an earthquake, even though it was the first time I've experienced one.
