Tokyo / Very weak shaking (MMI II) : We were in out hotel rool on the 12th floor. We didn‘t know what it was until we read online that it was an earthquake  
Sendai (132.6 km ESE of epicenter) [Map] / Moderate shaking (MMI V) : I was sleeping and I got the emergency message before I felt the quake. It felt, to me, like a circular shaking. I had some glasswear out that could have easily fallen, but didn't.
