Gladesville, Sydney NSW Australia (3712.7 km SE of epicenter) [Map] / not felt : What a ripper. Recorded on my seismograph(Raspberry Shake) located in my garden shed. The seismogram shows that this quake went on for approx. 25 minutes. Have not recorded one like this for a while and I am approx 3600 km from where this occurred.

Darwin - Northern Territory (670.5 km SSE of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) : At approximately 2325 last night 6th May of was reclined on my sofa - awake watching a program. I felt sudden onset of definite shaking of our whole house which lasted about 60 seconds. This was also felt outside on my veranda. The house is elevated so tremors are often felt which may not be felt in ground level houses. Husband was asleep and was woken by the shaking . I immediately recognised it as a tremor.

My friend just rang me to see if I am ok and then I realized that it was actually an earthquake. It was a scary experience. I don't think I can sleep well tonight
