Ramu Urban, Gusap, Madang Province (35.4 km WNW of epicenter) [Map] / Strong shaking (MMI VI) / horizontal (sideways) swinging : The whole place was shaking. We could see the Ramu Sugar Factory shaking and hear steel clattering 500 meters away. Even banana trees were permanently bent because of this. | 7 users found this interesting.  
Goroka Town, EHP (84.6 km W of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / 20-30 s : I was indoors and felt the house shaking and was making my way outside when it got stronger and rattled things on the shelves and table. However, none of these fell to the floor. The shaking lasted for 25-30 seconds or so. | One user found this interesting.

Mendi, Southern Highlands province / not felt : Other people have felt the earth quake on Thursday afternoon. I slept during that time so I did not feel it. It happened at 5pm . Thank you  
Goroka / Moderate shaking (MMI V) / both vertical and horizontal swinging : I was in bus when the earthquake strike. It felt like the bus will overturned so all of us started running out and quickly to ground.  
Goroka / Strong shaking (MMI VI) : Considering this was a deep quake and not really strong on Richter scale. It was worse than many I had experienced before.
