Ashgabat (Turkmenistan, 118 km SE of epicenter) : There was little visible damage. I was in bed at the time and the bed shook backwards and forwards for a while. Some neighbours left their flats as they were afraid that it was the prelude to a bigger quake. It was recently Memorial Day here which commemorates the victims of the 1948 earthquake which practically destroyed Ashgabat. (reported through EMSC)
