Seminyak, Bali (422 km NNE from epicenter) / MMI IV (Light shaking): I was in bed and felt the whole bedroom shaking for quite a bit. Initially I was confused at to what it was as it was my first time feeling an earthquake but I was pretty sure that was it.
Aschaffenburg / MMI II (Very weak shaking): I felt the shaking while I was laying in bed.

Ijen volcano photos: Ijen volcano in East Java is famous for its turquoise acid crater lake and the large sulfur deposits that are being mined by local workers. At night, the scene is illuminated by ghostly blue flames, as sulfur ignites.
Intraplate volcanism: A third tectonic setting where volcanism occurs is believed to be the result of mantle plumes and not directly related to plate boundaries. So called hot spot volcanoes fall into this category.
