Mt Barker / MMI IV (Light shaking): Woken up and heard dogs barking. Houses shaking, fixtures rattling. Felt for 15-20 seconds.
Albany, Middleton Beach / MMI V (Moderate shaking): Were already half awake. Our holiday ServicedApartment has wobbly mattresses, so bed shaking was very noticeable. Called-out “what’s happening; earthquake” to my man, I grabbed mobile, & made it to doorway. Concerned that we were on 2nd floor, & trying to pre-empt consequences, but couldn’t move. Everything was shaking side-to-side, & rumbling, but that changed to a different more intense-type movement, before gradual diminishing & noise fading away. Totalling definitely more than a minu
Dunsborough / MMI IV (Light shaking): Woken up by the shaking and noise. Went on for a surprising time. Would suggest light to medium.
Manjimup (Australia) (78 km W from epicenter)(no details): Could hear the quake roaring before it hit us. Glass windows were shaking for up to a minute. (via EMSC)
Perth (Australia) (284 km NW from epicenter)(no details): Felt like my chair was bouncing up and down as if someone was walking behind me. Floor is elevated due to underfloor cables so this isn’t unusual, except no one was there. (via EMSC)
Perth (Australia) (278 km NW from epicenter)(no details): Lying in bed heard wardrobe rattle for 20 seconds very load but didn’t feel any shaking (via EMSC)
