Arica / Light shaking (MMI IV)
La Yarada Los Palos, Tacna, Peru / Light shaking (MMI IV) : I was lying in my bed searching the internet on my laptop. I heard a loud noise outside. Almost immediately, my bed started shaking. The shaking continued for about 10 seconds. Nothing was damaged from what I an see. Several men were high in the air working on a large sign nearby. They were seen still working on the sign just after the shaking.
Cayma Arequipa / Light shaking (MMI IV) : A friend in Tacna (the city) felt nothing!
Arequipa / Weak shaking (MMI III)
Puquina (Peru, 185 km NW of epicenter) : Se sintió relativamente fuerte, con ruido al comienzo (reported through EMSC)
Tacna (Peru, 28 km NE of epicenter) : Estaba sentada y sentía mi silla temblando. Escuché el ruido. Sólo duró unos segundos (reported through EMSC)
Tacna (Peru, 31 km NE of epicenter) : just sound. (reported through EMSC)
