San Diego, CA - Mission Valley (Auto Circle), Nort (110 km WSW of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) : A quick, single BUMP of light-to-moderate strength. Comparatively SHORT duration, perhaps 1-2 seconds. The impulse (or its result) could be heard, BANG. Quite opposite of most temblors we feel here in Mission Valley (Auto Circle) San Diego, which are normally rolling with growing intensity, and may last 5-10 seconds. No items fell off our shelves nor did they move much, as they normally would with a rolling shaker.
