Algiers (Algeria, 23 km N of epicenter) : I was about to pray when i heard the metal-like door that protected my balcony from any breakings, suddenly rumbling, the rumbling sound was very strong and combined with other balcony protectors, i thought it was a robbery at first, i'm very impassive so i didn't feel any shakings although my surroundings certainly were shaking all over, i've experienced many other earthquakes before but i just never felt them. When i saw the objects in the room moving and my sister panicking and walking down the house's corridor (since we usually sleep in the second floor) i confirmed that it was an earthquake and i indeed asked my sister and she said that it was, when i talked to my friends about it they were all frightened and glad to be alive, which is ironic really since the thought of death never crossed my mind for a second, so always be careful, you never know when an earthquake might hit your vicinity, be safe! (reported through EMSC)

It was in three steps, stronger and lasting approx 5 seconds, then stop for one second, then another one less stronger lasting 3 seconds then stop for one second, then the last one very soft with 2 seconds long. That was scary. Regards (reported through EMSC)
(reported through EMSC)
Algiers (Algeria, 23 km N of epicenter) : It was very scary, as we already experienced many earthquakes few years ago that were deadly and many people died and building collapse.. it was 8.4 or more few years ago and scientists keep saying a bigger earthquake is going to come.. today it was 4.9 the noise was very loud and some of the furniture and the walls were moving and making scary noises, and we as always started expecting to become bigger and worst, and you start shaking and thinking were to hid if the worst come and some start saying it stopped now but it could start again and bigger let's go out :/ earthquakes are unpredictable and very scary as they happened and make damage in few second without any warning :/ - ( AMINA K - Algiers) - (reported through EMSC)
