Santa Maria Capua Vetere (40 km SSW of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) : Sitting at computer on third floor. Sudden shaking with neighbours quickly exiting building. Family moved to lower lying house just incase. just visting for Christmas and New Year.

Naples, p za Garibaldi (64.7 km S of epicenter) [Map] / Moderate shaking (MMI V) : I was lying on my bed in my hotel room on the 4th floor and it has started shaking with a side swing. It took some 20-30 seconds until it stopped. People left homes and stayed outside for sometime.
