A small but shallow magnitude 3.6 quake hit 30 miles NW of Memphis town last evening at 9:34 pm local time.
Many people living in areas close to the epicenter felt a short and weak vibration or short shake, similar to a truck passing nearby.
The earthquake occurred at the SE end of the tectonically active New Madrid Seismic Zone, which stretches southwest from New Madrid, Missouri, to northeastern Arkansas west of Memphis, Tennessee.
Another slightly smaller magnitude 3.4 quake occurred shortly after in NW Arkansas SE of Fayetteville.

But then I felt a slight vibration for about a minutes,then it stopped. I didn't think it was a earthquake though..

Salem VA / not felt : I awoke from a dream at about the same time; I was in a landfill walking down a dozed track and some kind of machine was vibrating the ground, then holes in the ground stated opening up and chucks of earth collapsed into rushing water beneath, then more and more holes fell in. The vibrating machine was collapsing the ground. I’ve never had dreams like this, first thing I thought was if there was a tremor nearby. Magnet Cove AR / not felt : Funny thing, a large clock, hung loosely by a thumbtack, started swaying left to right on the wall for a couple seconds. I was outside in my shop but everyone got scared and came running out of the house talking about a ghost. Not sure of any relation, but oddly coincidental now that I'm reading this | 2 users found this interesting.

I was thinking to myself that it was an earthquake, but I didn't really think about it much after that.
