There was an initial jolt then a side to side motion. Upstairs my father slept through the quake. His wife was awake and said it was intense. Nothing fell from shelves or counters to the ground. There was a boom just before the earthquake began, I thought it was a large truck dropping its trailer over a speed bump..We were experiencing a thunderstorm at the time This noise came from the direction of the road and n
