Six miles N of Ellis, KS / not felt / rattling, vibrating / 2-5 s : We are located 6 miles N of Ellis. The house began to vibrate, windows and items rattled. Suddenly a loud "boom" was heard- sounding like a bomb, with further shaking. Was very strange. If this is a 2.5, can hardly imagine a 7 or 8! | One user found this interesting.
Ellis / Light shaking (MMI IV) / rattling, vibrating / very short : It was a rumble like a truck hit the north corner of the house the dogs shot off the couch barking and the TV rocked at was very quick and loud. Hope this helps | One user found this interesting.
