The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported a magnitude 4.2 quake in California near the village of Shelter Cove only 2 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the morning on Monday 2 November 2020 at 11.25 am local time at a very shallow depth of 5 miles. The magnitude, exact location of the epicenter, and depth of the quake are likely to be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
