Edith nsw / Moderate shaking (MMI V) / rattling, vibrating / 5-10 s : Sounded like the roar of a large close truck outside then house shook for about 5 seconds. Location at Edith NSW approx 15 km from Oberon on Gingkin Rd. Thought at first low flying jet and raced outside but by then all quiet. | One user found this interesting.
Oberon NSW. Our property is 2km out of Oberon on t / not felt / 1-2 s : We sensed, rather than physically felt the tremor; definitely heard a noise like rolling thunder, but knew it wasn't thunder. We mostly had the reaction "What was that?" and it was over by the time we worked it out. Interestingly, our dog who usually perceives thunder well before we hear it, only reacted at exactly the same time as we did, which also helped to confirm that it wasn't actuslly thunder, so we rightly assumed it was an earth tremor.
Oberon nsw / not felt / 10-15 s : Hi. Heard a long rumble, about 10 seconds, thought it was thunder | One user found this interesting.
