An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred early morning on Thursday 24 December 2020 at 4:20 am local time near Antofagasta, Provincia de Antofagasta, Chile, as reported by the National Seismological Center of the University of Chile.
According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a moderately shallow depth of 63.3 km.
