An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 occurred only 22 minutes ago 98 km east of Mīnāb, Iran, the Iranian Seismological Center (IRSC) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter near Mīnāb, Hormozgan, Iran, late at night on Saturday 2 January 2021 at 11:29 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
