An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred only 8 minutes ago 109 km southwest of Uyuni, Bolivia, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
The quake hit at an intermediate to considerable depth of 185 km beneath the epicenter near Uyuni, Antonio Quijarro, Departamento de Potosi, Bolivia, early morning on Sunday 21 March 2021 at 6:55 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.8.
