An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred only 12 minutes ago 10 km northwest of Sopur, India, India's National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported.
The quake hit at an intermediate to considerable depth of 164.4 km beneath the epicenter near Sopur, Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, India, early morning on Sunday 25 July 2021 at 4:12 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
