Etowah, TN / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / very short : We all heard a loud noise similar to very loud thunder. | One user found this interesting.  
Reliance, TN / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / rattling, vibrating / very short : I could tell it came from the west, travelled through the house and yard in a south easterly direction on towards the river, just like a line drive wind. Mostly noise with a slight vibration and it was over almost as fast as it started. | One user found this interesting.

Athens, TN / Light shaking (MMI IV) / 1-2 s : At first I thought it was a loud clap of thunder or some kind of loud explosion. It did shake my house. My pictures shook on the walls and glass items made a rattling noise. It only last a couple of seconds. But felt shallow.
