Avalon, Catalina Island (90.2 km SW of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / horizontal (sideways) swinging / 5-10 s : I was just going to bed after a jazz concert. I was moving around, getting comfortable. I noticed the bed was gently, lightly, shaking back and forth. Maybe as you would rock a baby. I stopped moving and waited. The bed was still moving for a considerable  
chino hills (0 km NNE of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / horizontal (sideways) swinging / 2-5 s : I was laying down and felt a rumble coming on so I held on and made note of what I felt.
