near Flint, MI : Did not feel the quake but there was a house explosion in Grand Blanc at the same moment as the quake was recorded, in the same general location. This quake was likely artificial due to accident (gas leak perhaps) . | 16 users found this interesting.  
  • We felt and heard it in Burton, off Atherton and Center rd. Rattled my windows and everything.
  • House explosion was in Flint City on the border of Flint Twp.
  • The house explosion was in flint in a subdivision off M21
Miller Rd, Flint, MI / Weak shaking (MMI III) / rattling, vibrating / 1-2 s : I was at work when i heard an extremely loud boom and the entire store shook. A house exploded a mile away. | 4 users found this interesting.  
Cook road, grand Blanc, mi / not felt : We heard something that sounded like someone banged on our garage or tried to open it. We searched the house and nothing. We had just put our children to bed and were in the kitchen for a moment when we felt a vibration and what sounded like a huge bang. It was about 9:30 pm. Flint (28.6 km WSW of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / complex motion difficult to describe / very short : 1.4 miles from the event location: Loud sharp explosion heard when inside home; rattling of some interior objects; shock front from explosion impacted French doors as if someone fell against them from the outside. No damage.

Burton (27.9 km WSW of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / complex motion difficult to describe / 2-5 s : I heard a loud boom and my house shook and it sounded like a big piece of furniture got knocked over in the house
