Reported shaking likely from explosion

The reported shaking likely came not from a quake (which are highly unlikely in this area) but an explosion on Fox Island just off the South Shore.

Lindenhurst NY, / Weak shaking (MMI III) / single lateral shake / very short : I heard a distant explosion and felt a vibration/minor shake in the house - I was standing still on the main floor of the house that has a basement.  
Smithtown / Light shaking (MMI IV) / single lateral shake / 1-2 s : House shook & heard what sounded like a boom. Almost like a large tree falling next to my home that made the house shake but it wasn’t a tree. Then I was receiving alerts on my Ring app from people in my area asking if anyone heard & knew what just happ  
Babylon village / Moderate shaking (MMI V) / single vertical bump / 1-2 s : I thought it was thunder at the shore we get some intense thunder that shakes the house. It felt different an up and down bump plus shorter length of a normal thunder. When I heard us was a bomb the sound and bump made more sense as a bomb.  
West Babylon / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / rattling, vibrating / 1-2 s : I heard very loud, deep boom. I was outside- did not feel shaking. Husband was ibside felt the whole house shake.
