An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred only 28 minutes ago 28 km northwest of Cartago, Colombia, the United States Geological Survey reported.
The quake hit at an intermediate depth of 111.1 km beneath the epicenter near Cartago, Municipio de Cartago, Departamento del Valle del Cauca, Colombia, early evening on Thursday, June 30th, 2022, at 6:37 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake which listed the quake at magnitude 4.5 as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 4.5.
