St Helier, Jersey (26.8 km NE of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) : Was at home in my bedroom surfing the net, heard and felt a rumble, though initially something happened to the sewer works which is opposite to where I live

St Lawrence Jersey Channel Islands / Weak shaking (MMI III) : We (two) people were in the sitting-room and felt a rumble similar to a lorry passing at middle-distance. We knew it was not local traffic and guessed the sound signified a weak local earthquake. A glass candle vibrated briefly on a glass table.

They had experienced a previous earthquake in July 2014 and immediately thought this was also a quake. We confirmed it. Waiting for a possible after shock, but unlikely we'll notice it. My Husband, by the way, who's lived all his life in Jersey, says he's never experienced one before, still is not sure it was an earthquake, but I was sure as soon as I heard the noise, and the shake that that was what it was.
