Background
The Geronimo (San Bernardino) volcanic field contains over 140 eruptive centers, mostly pyroclastic cones, in an area of 850 km2. The basaltic field in the SE corner of Arizona was active between 3.2 and 0.3 million years ago (Lynch, in Wood and Kienle 1990).---
