Kerinci volcano (Sumatra, Indonesia): explosive activity continues

Eruption at Kerinci volcano this morning (image: PVMBG)
An eruption at the volcano occurred at 08:30 local time today generating a gray ash plume, which reached approx. 13,800 ft (4,200 m) altitude and drifted east.
The volcano observatory reported a seismic signal with a maximum amplitude of 4 mm and a duration of 34 seconds.

PVMBG reported that brown ash plumes from Kerinci, often dense, rose as high as 150 m above the summit and drifted NE, E, and SE during 16-18 and 20-21 November. PVMBG reported that diffuse white-and-brown plumes from Kerinci rose as high as 150 m above the summit and drifted W during 9-15 November. The Aviation Color Code remained at Orange (the second highest level on a four-color scale).
