Light 4.4 quake hits near Abra Pampa, Argentina

4.4 quake 26 Dec 1:37 am (GMT -3)
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.4 as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 4.4.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Abra Pampa (pop. 9,400, 61 km away), La Quiaca (pop. 14,800, 90 km away), El Aguilar (pop. 3,700, 91 km away), and Villazon (pop. 30,300, 91 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
