Small earthquake of magnitude 3.1 just reported 41 miles northeast of Port Alsworth, Alaska, United States

The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.1 as well.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Port Alsworth (pop. 160, 41 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.

A magnitude 3.2 earthquake near Carson City, Carson City County, Nevada, USA, was reported only 8 minutes ago by the United States Geological Survey, considered the key international and national agency that monitors seismic activity in the US.
