India's National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported a magnitude 4.8 quake in Nepal near Kathmandu, Province 3, only 14 minutes ago. The earthquake hit around noon on Tuesday 4 May 2021 at 1:58 pm local time at an intermediate depth of 122.7 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
