Small 3.0 quake hits near Meadow Lakes, Matanuska-Susitna, Alaska, USA

Just 7 minutes ago, a 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Meadow Lakes, Matanuska-Susitna, Alaska, USA. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Wednesday 9 June 2021 at 11:50 am local time, at a shallow depth of 17 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 3.0 earthquake as well.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Meadow Lakes (pop. 7,600, 6 miles away), Houston (pop. 2,200, 7 miles away), Tanaina (pop. 8,200, 10 miles away), Wasilla (pop. 9,300, 11 miles away), Lakes (pop. 8,400, 14 miles away), Knik-Fairview (pop. 14,900, 14 miles away), Eagle River (pop. 24,800, 27 miles away), Eagle River (pop. 24,800, 27 miles away), and Alaska City (pop. 298,700, 35 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
