Small tremor of magnitude 3.3 just reported 42 miles northwest of Toyah, Texas, United States

The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.3 quake in the United States near Toyah, Reeves County, Texas, only 12 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early afternoon on Wednesday 9 June 2021 at 3:45 pm local time at a very shallow depth of 4.6 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.

Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.3 as well.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Toyah (pop. 98, 42 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
