Moderate 4.3 quake hits near Mapastepec, Chiapas, Mexico

Mexico's National Seismological Service (SSN) reported a magnitude 4.3 quake in Mexico near Mapastepec, Chiapas, 31 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Thursday, August 4th, 2022, at 2:44 am local time at a moderately shallow depth of 62 km. Magnitude and other quake parameters can still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data.
