Erta Ale volcano (Ethiopia) activity update: active lava lake in northern pit crater, active hornito with intermittend flow in southern crater
People on a recent expedition to Erta Ale reported that the lava lake was quite active and only about 10 m below the rim of the pit crater.

Intermittent lava flows from an active hornito in the south pit crater have continued to fill its crater floor.
