Magnitude 4.6 earthquake strikes near Quezon City, Philippines

4.6 quake 4 Km W of Magallanes, Philippines, 31 Oct 10:49 am (GMT +8)
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service at VolcanoDiscovery identified a second report from Geoscience Australia (GeoAu) which listed the quake at magnitude 5.0.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt, based on preliminary calculations, include Bulihan (pop. 2,500) at a distance of 8 km with very weak shaking, General Emilio Aguinaldo (pop. 12,200) at a distance of 9 km with very weak shaking, Manila (pop. 1,600,000) at a distance of 54 km with very weak shaking, and Quezon City (pop. 2,761,700) at a distance of 63 km with very weak shaking.
