A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 3.0 earthquake as well.

In Hawaiian Ocean View (pop. 4,400, 18 miles away), Volcano Village (pop. 2,600, 26 miles away), Honaunau-Napoopoo (pop. 2,600, 29 miles away), Holualoa (pop. 8,500, 40 miles away), and Hawaiian Paradise Park (pop. 11,400, 46 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
