Moderate magnitude 4.2 quake hits 89 km southwest of San Rafael del Sur, Nicaragua in the evening

Just 10 minutes ago, a 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck near San Rafael del Sur, Departamento de Managua, Nicaragua. The tremor was recorded in the evening on Wednesday 21 July 2021 at 8:16 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 28 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Masachapa (pop. 5,000) located 78 km from the epicenter, and San Rafael del Sur (pop. 29,800) 89 km away.
