Paradise Cove Resort / Severe shaking (MMI VIII) : First earthquake I've experienced so can't really compare to anything. Light shaking, buildings creaked.
Port Vila (Vanuatu, 15 km SE of epicenter) : It cam in phases - the first roar was quite low, my wife and I half stood up, trying to decide if we should move outside, which is the usual thing we do. about 3 to 5 secs after that, there was a second, much louder roar, and a few objects fell of shelves, or shifted off shelves. we were standing on the veranda, and it got a little louder for a sec or two, and we went out and stood on the grass. the whole event lasted maybe 5-10 secs (reported through EMSC)
