Just 27 minutes ago, a 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck near the town of Farkhār, Afghanistan. The tremor was recorded in the evening on Sunday 22 November 2020 at 8.23 pm local time, at an intermediate depth of 140.4 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service at VolcanoDiscovery identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.5 as well.
